SLIDE AUTOMATION BIG

Description

This machine is for handling automation of tissue slides through cooking vessel and different reagents as per sequence entered in protocol. It can handle 100 slides in three & half hours for a 7 reagent protocol. It has a continuous loading option for loading and processing slides before previous batch is complete.

Each rack containing 5 slides goes through different reagent containers before being placed in unloading area. The clearance between rack and reagent container in 0.25 mm. This small clearance, brings the reagent up on slides when rack goes inside container, reducing reagent consumption per slide.

On board barcode scanner in robotic arm scan all racks and reagent containers and updates there position in database.

Separate piping manifold takes care of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids. There are sensors in liquid storing carboys to update availability of liquid or space to the operating system.

Window based operating system with touch screen interface. The application software has four modules, namely Run, Maintenance, Calibration and Settings, Results. The application software can maintain the targeted incubation time within plus minus 15 sec.

This compact medical device has a foot print of 1 m X 1 m.
